Printing Style Choices |
Camera-ready artwork is required or
additional art charges may apply. Faxes are not an acceptable artwork
submission. All artwork must be submitted with all fonts attached and the
fonts converted to outlines. A minimum of 300 dpi resolution is required.
Artwork must be submitted in a vector graphics format.

Post Printing:
A post-press
printed bag is any bag that is
printed flexographically (ink) or hot-stamped (a process in which foil is
directly transferred by means of pressure and heat) after the bag has been
converted. This type of printing is ideally suited for users who need
small quantities or one who needs an order printed quickly. |
Guidelines
- Two color jobs require 1/4" spacing between colors
and no critical alignment
- Hot-stamped designs that include continuous borders
do not print well
- Fine lines and large prints with reverse-outs do not
print well and art may need to be modified
- Half-tones or screens cannot be hot-stamped or
post-printed

Pre-Printing:
The paper or plastic is printed
before it is converted into a bag. This type of printing is for orders that have
multiple color graphics with tight registration and lead-time is not a factor.
It is also ideal for large quantity orders of any product.

Flexographic Printing:
Your artwork is
ink-printed on the product. It has a matte finish that is best for: paper
bags, Super Economy White apparel boxes and ribbon.

- Either Mac or Windows compatible
- Minimum resolution is 300 dpi
- Fonts must be converted to outlines and any
non-traditional font must be included in the e-mail and be Windows
compatible
- Adobe Illustrator .AI or .EPS - version CS3 or lower
- Adobe PDF with Illustrator editing capabilities
- Please ask for about files in Adobe Photoshop formats
- A graphic artist is available
to create and refine logos at the rate of $35 per hour.

Proofs
A proof will be
provided for final artwork approval via fax or e-mail. This is for
spelling and placement proofing. We do not offer press proofs on most
items. The artwork lead-time does not start until this artwork is
approved. No orders will be started until approval.

Hot-Stamping:
Your artwork is stamped onto the product with a colored foil. It is
directly transferred using pressure and heat. With the option of a
Metallic or Matte finish, this is best for: Frosty bags, Fashion tints,
Eurototes, Boxes, Paper Bags and Ribbon.

Lead-Time
Always allow for at least 3 weeks
lead-time for printed products, not including UPS transit time. This time
starts after the artwork has been approved. During the holiday season, the
lead-time can jump to 4-5 weeks. This can start some time in October.

Plates
Plates are a
one-time fee unless product or logo changes. The plate price is charged at
cost dependent upon square inches of artwork. The minimum plate cost for
flexographic printing is $50, for hot-stamping it is $60.

There is a 50%
non-refundable deposit required at time of artwork approval on all printed
orders. Customer is responsible for any and all artwork done even if final order
is not placed. |
